Rose of Sharon snowflake For our project we embroideredFor this Mix and Match collection we chose a traditional quilting theme, Rose of Sharon. This type of quilt was typically created by hand using dozens of small applique pieces. The end result was beautiful but very time consuming. Instead of hand piecing and sewing blanket stitches around all of the beautiful leaves and owers we decided to use machine applique and surround the shapes with stain stitches. The end result is stunning! This collection
